Join Bolder Giving on Thursday, February 16th at noon EST for a free teleconference with Jason Franklin.
What would you do if you got an unexpected invitation to get involved in your family's foundation...which you didn't know even existed? For Jason Franklin, it began a life altering shift from life as a policy wonk to donor organizer. As he connected with communities serving young inheritors and progressive donors, Jason found other grantmakers interested in supporting social change and LGBTQ rights. He began asking hard questions about his philanthropy - what his priorities were and how much he should give? He turned to Bolder Giving’s co-founders, Anne and Christopher Ellinger, to help him find answers. Now, Jason gives away 25% of his annual income plus gifts from his family foundation and his time. The unexpected invitation to join his family foundation led him on a journey towards recognizing his talents as a donor organizer and eventually to becoming Bolder Giving’s Executive Director.
